Highlights:

Menneval:

SLAM has traced the Maisie bonanza vein over a 700 m strike length and to a depth of 45 m. The Company has drilled 64 diamond drill holes in 2 campaigns on the Maisie zone.  Photos of visible gold in drill-core from the Menneval project can be viewed on our  Core Shack page.

The drilling follws a very successful trenching program that sourced the bonanza grade Maisie discovery to a gold-bearing vein in bedrock. Trenching has followed this vein for a strike length of 700 metres with numerous sites of visible gold. Chip samples range up to 1100 g/t gold over 1.1 m with grab samples up to 1980 g/t gold.

The initial Maisie zone discovery at Menneval comprises large quartz boulders with grab samples grading up to 118 g/t goldMenneval is SLAM's exciting new road-accessible gold project adjacent to highway 17 in northwest New Brunswick.

Nepisiguit

SLAM's wholly owned Nepisiguit deposit stands at 3M tonnes as estimated in a NI43-101 compliant technical report by Wardrop (Tetratech) and available for viewing at www.sedar.com. The A-Zone comprises 2,938,613 tonnes grading 3.16% zinc 0.82% lead, 0.23% copper and 30.64 g/t silver.

The Nepisiguit deposit is located approximately 15 km southwest of the world-class BMS No. 12 mine and 30 km southeast of the Caribou mine owned by Trevali.

Bonanza Grade Gold at Reserve Creek

With gold intervals up to 274 g/t over 0.5 m within a 16.85 m interval grading 16.45 g/t and significant gold having been encountered in 38 of the 47 holes drilled in the main zone, Reserve Creek is a bonafide gold hotspot. Data from recent exploration activity is currently being reviewed and planning is now underway to test the down plunge extent of the deposit.

Nash Creek

SLAM owns a significant silver-lead-zinc resource that is potentially amenable to upgrade by Dense Media Separation as demonstrated by positive results from a recent DMS test (see news) on the  Nash Creek deposit.

Bonanza Gold At Menneval

Since the initial discovery in spring, 2012, SLAM has completed 64 diamond drill holes in two campaigns to test our new Maisie zone gold discovery. Visible gold was noted in 8 of the 64 holes with grades up to 121.0 g/t over 0.31m. The first hole tested beneath trench Men12-01A where bonanza grades up to 1100 g/t gold over 1.1 m were reported from chiip samples. This trench is near the original discovery site where the Company found boulders grading up to 118 g/t gold. The Maisie Zone is one of several  road-accessible gold occurrences on our extensive, wholly owned Menneval property in New Brunswick.

3M Tonne Inferred Resource Estimate for Nepisiguit

A NI43-101 Technical Report estimates the Nepisiguit deposit at 3M tonnes. The near-surface deposit is potentially amenable to open pit mining methods. Drilling indicates the deposit is open at depth. Click below for more information.
