Gold

SLAM made a new gold discovery and confirmed a known gold occurrence by drilling on its Keezhik-Miminiska Project in 2008.  All 6 holes drilled on the Reserve Creek Project  in 2008 intersected significant gold mineralization. These projects  are part of a regional play in the world-renowned gold-producing Uchi Sub-province of northwestern Ontario. This prolific gold producing area is host to the Red Lake gold mining camp where Goldcorp operates one of the worlds most profitable gold producers, the Red Lake Mine. The Uchi Subprovince has produced in excess of 40M ounces of gold.

The east end of the Uchi Sub-province is centered around the Eabametoong First Nation in the Fort Hope area. The geology here is very similar to Red Lake with greenstone belts of volcanics and sediments intruded by a wide range of intrusive bodies. Widespread and locally intense hydrothermal alteration with known gold mineralization controlled by major fault and fold structures are evidence that the East Uchi rocks of Fort Hope have been subject to the same ore forming processes that formed the Red Lake gold deposits. SLAM's gold properties comprise 81 claims covering 13,552 hectares of highly prospective Uchi geology.

Reserve Creek
SLAM owns 100% of the project. All 6 diamond drill holes in a 2008 program by SLAM intersected significant auriferous intervals ranging from 4.0 g/t up to 24.77 g/t gold. This program tested the Williamson gold deposit and these intervals are open at depth.

Miminiska-Keezhik Gold
SLAM owns 70% and is operator. Two gold discoveries drilled in 2008 are open at depth and along strike. The PEN zone is associated with a series of humus geochemical anomalies with an overall strike-length of 2 kilometres along a porphyry contact.

Opikeigen Gold

SLAM is operator of a 50/50 joint venture with Bard Ventures Ltd. The Opikeigen property hosts 7 gold occurrences including the Fort Hope Gold Mine and Zone OL12.
