Reserve Creek Gold

The 100% owned Reserve Creek gold property is viewed as an advanced phase exploration play requiring further delineation towards completion of a NI 43-101 compliant designation.  The property consists of 22 contiguous claims encompassing 4,608 hectares adjacent to the Eabametoong First Nation Reserve lands, approximately 150 kilometres east of the town of Pickle Lake, Ontario.  No royalties are payable on the property.

2008 Diamond Drilling Program

A 6 hole drilling program  tested the depth extent of the  Williamson zone where gold mineralization is associated with sulphide mineralization and quartz stringers within a magnetite bearing chloritic tuff. All six holes intersected significant gold bearing intervals ranging in grade from 4.0 to 24.77 g/tonne gold over core lengths ranging from 0.5 to 9.5 metres. Selected drilling results are tabulated as follows:

The six hole diamond drilling program was completed in May 2008 for a total of 1,013.82 metres. The program demonstrated grade consistency and extended the depth of the Williamson gold deposit to 150 metres.  SLAM believes there is significant tonnage potential at depth and along strike where additional highly prospective areas of interest have been defined.

Exploration History

Previous drilling carried out on the Reserve Creek property dates back to its discovery by Dome Mines Ltd. during the 1940s.  Dome delineated the Williamson gold deposit in 3 subzones A, B and C as well as the D (Muir) and E (Bachman) tungsten zones.  Extensive historical ground survey data that includes geology, geochemistry, magnetometer, VLF and induced polarization is currently being compiled by SLAM.

Approximately 8,000 metres drilled in 126 holes to date on the Reserve Creek property include 1,980.5 metres in 13 holes by SLAM and the remainder by previous operators.  The Williamson deposit has been drilled by a total of 85 holes, 68 of which yielded 147 significant intervals with gold grades greater than 1.0 g/tonne over core lengths of 1.5 metres or greater.  These include gold intervals grading  4.21 g/tonne over 25.91 metres, 3.69 g/tonne over 24.69 metres and 2.82 g/tonne over 24.08 metres.  Higher grade intercepts associated with quartz veins include 72.65 g/tonne over 0.15 metres, 33.93 g/tonne over 0.82 metres and 24.77 g/tonne over 0.50 metres.

With an overall strike length of 400 metres, the Williamson Zone pinches and swells to form two higher grade shoots known as the A and B subzones.  These shoots plunge steeply to the west within a sulphide-magnetite-bearing mafic tuff unit up to 20 metres thick.  A high-grade quartz vein system referred to as subzone C occurs on the south flank and to the east of subzone A.

SLAM plans  additional drilling to further delineate the lateral and depth extent of the Williamson zone as well as to advance the deposit to NI 43-101 compliant status for reserve calculation.
